Triplellation Class

Yesterday Art Clubbers and I worked on a new class using the beautiful and elegant Triplellation tangle (Debbie Huntington). Although it was an incredibly TRICKY class, I feel that tessellated tangles are calling my name lately.

Dara Knot and Nofomo

I'm tangling so much I hardly have time to post pictures online. Here you see two tiles I created last week: one under the wonderful instruction of Amy Broady showing us how to use her Nofomo tangle, and the other one showing a Zendala with a Celtic Dara Knot.

Well My Way and Smithsonian Art History

A Zendala made with Well My Way (Carla Jooren) and Algae (Kathrin Burmeister). I’m also very happy to say that I finally completed my two year certificate in World Art History through the Smithsonian. A long journey and it has definitely influence my art more than I think.

Indy-rella Tabs

Daily meditation using the Art Raffle app. Normally I pull out a whole bunch of cards and rearrange them. Not today, I needed to do something completely unexpected and unplanned. Not my favorite tile, for sure, but very soothing, exactly what I needed today. Of note are Tabs (Tomas Padros) and Clob (Jem Miller) and other tangles.

Pokeroot Tagh Zendala Part 1 Class

Today Art Clubbers and I had Part 1 of the gorgeous Pokeroot Tagh Zendala class. We worked on the line-art of this ZIA Zendala using Pokeroot Mashup, spherical Tagh and Speedwayz (Carla Jooren). In Part 2 we’ll embellish and work on shading!

Tagh and Wyfore Tangleation

I’m loving this spherical tangleation of Tagh so I repeated it here, this time surrounded by a tangleation of Wyfore. You can also see a Ribbon Pickpocket there (a tangleation of Tomas Padros’ Pickpocket), and Tipple everywhere.

Pokeroot Tagh

The Art Raffle app gave me a tricky combination of all round tangles (Pokeroot, Jetties and Gourdgeous), combined into a radial formation inspired by one of the To You Tangle prompts. I also used an Tagh in the center and Pickpocket ribbon in an octagonal frame.

Pouyang Columns

Here's my last contribution to the To You Tangle 2023 using Pouyang with my deepest thanks to all the contributors. This tangle reminds me strongly of a mix between Gourdgeous (Zentangle) and my own Tri-roda. I strung three in a row forming a pouyang column.

Wyfore Medallion Shading Class

Wyfore Medallion Class

Palmette

A Palmette is a palm-looking ornament widely used in Roman and Greek architectural ornamentation. Inspired by that mirrored design, I created a ZIA using Sanibelle (Tricia Faraone), Mooka, Wyfore/Drawings, Cyme and Icanthis.
