Indy-rella Tabs

Daily meditation using the Art Raffle app. The app gave me a Blossoms String (3 blossoms). Also Bubbly Tipple, Finery, Indy-rella, Jetties (Zentangle, Inc). Also Tabs (Tomas Padros) and Clob (Jem Miller). Here’s the raffle:

Many times when using the Art Raffle app, I pull out a whole bunch of tangles and re-arrange them as I see fit. Not in this case, I didn't choose or reject anything, used the tangles in the order they came. Here’s a step-out:

Although I really like some aspects of the tile such as the organic looking Tabs, I confess this is not one of my favorite tiles. But today I needed to do something completely unplanned and without any design. I guess it's a little like life, you can only plan so much, at times, things will come to you in the order they come.

I think we are all a little in love with Tomàs Padro's new tangle Medusa. Here I'm posting two simple tiles where I explored the shading and different ways to construct the underlying ogee grid. I suspect Medusa is going to appear more in my work very soon!

I had a blast making these two pieces combining Wartz (Genevieve Crabe) with Sinkhole and Spherify! The Art Raffle gave me this difficult combination, but it was a fun experiment and I'm super happy with it.
