Triplellation Class
Yesterday Art Clubbers and I had a new class, we played with Debbie Huntington’s Triplellation tangle. We even had Debbie come to class and tell us a little about the story behind this tangle.
What a TRICKY class! I love this elegant tangle, but it was a real challenge.
This tangle is a tessellation constructed over a triangular grid (hexagonal) and that was the first difficulty. Here's the tangle line-art:
After creating the tessellation came the shading part - and then I was in my element. Here you can see the shading and embellishment of one single fragment:
Here’s the picture partially finished that we did in class along with my sample picture.
Here's the work done by the clubbers:
Although it was super tricky, I feel that’s not the end of tessellations for, they seem to be calling my name lately!

A few weeks ago one my friends suggested a “skyline” string over a mass of water. I used mooka3d, Alfie (Angie Gittles), Nik (Bunny Wright) and Dillo-tant (Lisa Goldman). I wonder if the buildings are emerging or submerging? :-)
