Yesterday Art Clubbers and I worked on an advanced project including Phossil, producing this lovely landscape-looking piece. I think this is finally the last chapter of Phossil for me, for a while at least.
Read MoreA new kind of newsletter related to the Art Raffle (especially helpful for Android users who can’t access our free app): every week I’ll feature a single tangle, enhancer or string. The email goes out every Thursday morning, showing the “back of the card” with valuable information for you to continue to learn.
Read MoreDaily meditation with the Art Raffle gave me Nzeppel, Twing and Toodles. I choose to use a tangleation called Nymph (Merlinda Barlow). Look at those trees on top of the Nzeppel hill, funny!!!
Read MoreDaily meditation with the Art Raffle gave me Feziii, Fractalize, Chainging and Scatter. Such fun to play with this odd string. Is it some kind of otherworldly landscape defying gravity? What’s happening here?
Read MoreDaily meditation with the Art Raffle gave me 3 different strings. I figured: why not? I used Marasu, Peanuckle (both Zentangle), Bownus (Angie Gittles) and Bejeweled Hurry (my own tangleation of Hurry).
Read MoreLast Thursday Art Clubbers and I completed Part 2 of the Crazy Zander Infographics class, so of course I had to mix it up with Phossil. I included Opus, Vega, Zander (all Zentangle) and more.
Read MoreA mishmash of fun things: ZenLinea’s wonderful Starukas, Vine tangles a-la-projectpack 19, and Maria Thomas’ fun stacked Mookas from Zenagain2022.
Read MoreA new update to the free app Art Raffle, making the total number of cards reach 516! This one includes a large list of tangles by different tanglers, thank you so much to all who contributed. Also included are the release of my two new tangles, Laquinta and Fishskirt.
Read MoreLast week Art Clubbers and I had Part 1 of the class Crazy Zander Infographics, where we explored the imaginary evolution of Zander into Crazy Zander (a tangleation by Maria Thomas).
Read MoreI’m not tired of Phossil yet, I suspect there are a few more of these coming out of my pen. Here is Fossil, Vega, Zander and Opus (Zentangle).
Read MoreThese Zentangle tiles must be magic, whenever I feel there is no more room for anything else, somehow they manage to get more and more. Sheesh! Tangles are Phossil, Zentwining (Lynn Mead), a marine version of Mooka with some Fancy Caps and Opus.
Read MoreThis one had a “less loved” start with Zenith and sat on my desk for a long time. Suddenly the thing just came to life with Phossil, Zentwining and some Fancy Caps! Now it's one of my favorites. Just to show, don't give up on your less loved tiles.
Read MoreDaily meditation included Purk, Spention (Emily Houtz), Mysealiam, Nik (Bunny Wright) and more. A very interesting result, strange, but I like it. Makes me wonder, what's happening here? Is someone entering or leaving?
Read MoreThis last week Art Clubbers and I completed another very intricate project called Bownus Bookmark. This was an exercise in intricacy and using rounding/line-weight to improve and treat a tangled ZIA.
Read MoreI'm in love with these Fancy Caps! I don’t know, however, if this picture qualifies as Zentangle. It's too figurative, too much like a landscape. I also love the frame, I've been using it a lot.
Read MoreI decided to do this as an experiment: a complex string with overlapping arches combined with tons of different tangles and decorative borders. Whew!!! Sometimes I think there is such a thing as too much detail, it drove me a little insane to make this one.
Read MoreThis one was inspired by an Art Raffle started last week, but I couldn't finish it until now. Crazy Huggins, Mooka, Wartz and more.
Read MoreMy private Zentangle group asked me to revisit the Tangled Dragons, a lesson I taught over 5 years ago. Very interesting to see the comparison of the before and after. I feel the only difference is the really rich level of detail. I’m officially a tiny tangler. Such fun!
Read MoreLast Thursday Art Clubbers and I completed Part 2 of the Balloon Park class, including Knightsbridge, Vega, Paradox, Rambles and Moon Pie, covering a variety of 3D shading techniques.
Read MoreWas fooling around with Diva Dance and Bales during my daily meditation and just had to add a fancy cap there. Fun!
