I think we are all a little in love with Tomàs Padro's new tangle Medusa. Here I'm posting two simple tiles where I explored the shading and different ways to construct the underlying ogee grid. I suspect Medusa is going to appear more in my work very soon!

The title of the post may sound strange, isn't all Zentangle intuitive? In this experiment I used a much more complex and intuitive string combined with a gray micron pen on two different pictures, with varied degrees of success. I came to an interesting conclusion, though.

One of my clubbers has insistently asking me to try using a ballpoint - the good old Bic (or Biro) pen in my tangling. I used a black and blue Bic pens for shading - with varied degrees of success, some good and and some pretty bad. Here's the result, inspired by Project Pack 20 Hollis and Moon pie.

This is from last week: a daily meditation with the Art Raffle gave me Travel (J.Genovese), Saturday (Y. Kageyama), also Edgework, Squarify and I added a “horizon”, an enhancer where a simple horizontal line can create an immediate landscape effect.
