Another Journal Tile with a combo between Uvula (Oswaldo Burbano) and Drawings (Zentangle). On the side you can also see Rixty and an Opus border. Pink pink everywhere, whew!
Read MoreOne of the last classes I taught at my club included how to create Tangle Combos, an incredibly fun process of combining tangle genetics to form new tangleations. In this Journal Tile I combined Zander and Prestwood (Margaret Bremner) as main artifact. I tried to use a slightly different color than sepia/brown, but it’s a tad too pink for my taste :-)
Read MoreTriangles are prevalent on this striped string tile, along with some wavy curtains, some ribbons and other things. The only tangles I actually recognize are Arukas in the background and Opus in the triangle (both Zentangle). The rest are bits and pieces borrowed from my previous studies or pieces.
Read MoreThis piece feels like it's part of a series started several months ago. Aside from Verve, Mysealiam and Spention, I also used several unnamed fragments found in some of photographs I took during trips and outings.
Read MoreYesterday Art Clubbers and I had a super important class that I am calling “Zentangle MatchMaking”. This class, which will probably become a series, works on answering the questions about how to combine tangles and string when using classic random Zentangle during your own art practice.
Read MoreAnother landscape came out of my pen! I can’t seem to get away from them. I meant to use Huggins (for the To You Tangle event) but my pen botched it and created Puppy Hugs instead. This is Martha’s tangleation of Huggins, introduced in 2022.
Read MorePlaying with various different tangles: Bucky, Ratoon, Opus (all Zentangle), also a serrated version of Wyfore (original also by Zentangle). You also see Pellucidar and a ribbon version of Pickpocket (two last ones by Tomas Padros).
Read MoreTwo pieces with Hollis over a triangular string, sprouting from a fancy triangular fragment. One of them also plays with 3D cuffs over Wyfore. Fun!
Read MoreDaily meditation with the Art Raffle gave me 3 different strings. I figured: why not? I used Marasu, Peanuckle (both Zentangle), Bownus (Angie Gittles) and Bejeweled Hurry (my own tangleation of Hurry).
Read MoreLast Thursday Art Clubbers and I completed Part 2 of the Crazy Zander Infographics class, so of course I had to mix it up with Phossil. I included Opus, Vega, Zander (all Zentangle) and more.
Read MoreI’m not tired of Phossil yet, I suspect there are a few more of these coming out of my pen. Here is Fossil, Vega, Zander and Opus (Zentangle).
Read MoreThese Zentangle tiles must be magic, whenever I feel there is no more room for anything else, somehow they manage to get more and more. Sheesh! Tangles are Phossil, Zentwining (Lynn Mead), a marine version of Mooka with some Fancy Caps and Opus.
Read MoreLast week I had plenty of opportunity to create basic classic Zentangle tiles in black and white.
