Drupe, Yincut, Scoodle and Opus
Last week was an interesting one where I spent a lot of time drawing black and white pictures. It started with the Zentangle Basics class I taught in Portuguese for friends and family. It was exciting to share this thing I love so much to my loved ones.
After the class, some people asked me for another combination of string and tangles so that they could continue creating. (I hope I gave them the Zentangle bug). I used the Art Raffle to pull out this combination:
They could also include one of the basic tangles they had already learned in the first class. I played with the combination myself, very fun to go back to basics. Here's the before and after shading:
I added the tangle Scoodle (Zentangle-original) as my fourth tangle of choice.
Here's a second tile that I made using the exact same combination:
On Friday, I continued my black and white exploration by attending a class with my tangler buddy Mary Rose Feldman, she guided us into exploring Opus3D (my own tangleation of the tangle Opus). Here's the tile I created during her class with traditional Opus on one side and Opus 3D on the other. So much fun!
I added this interesting frame behind the Opus vine, I love these partial auras!
Feel free to pin or share these images if you like.
Now that the Zentangle MatchMaking series is over in the Art Club, we started a new series, focusing on Tangle Combos. This is the second session of the series, and since it's the beginning of the year, nothing more appropriate than using the classic 4 tangles used for a Back to Basics: Crescent Moon, Holibaugh, Printemps and Bales.
