Coloring Gold Lesson
On Sunday morning I held an online Zoom class on how to create gold nuggets using only coloring pencils. It was an AMAZING class!
We started with a detailed description of the colored pencils to use — this is a formula I have been exploring with for years (literally!) and only now I feel that it produces consistently good and realistic results).
We explored how to create cool and warm highlights, which is one of the important aspects of coloring realistic gold nuggets.
The secret is not only about the right colors, but most importantly, the right placement for each color, and each section was thoroughly explained while we created this double YinYang nugget.
We spent three hours, happily coloring this ONE little circle, blending, blending, smoothing out. Who knew that you could spend so much time in one small drawing!
We had a record attendance of 100 people, a full house and it was amazing to see their results in class.
