Back to Basics 2022 Recap
Today was the first 2023 live session with the members of my Art Club. We had a Back to Basics 2022 Recap. I love these beginning-of-the-year sessions because we get to review everything that was done during the past year, and also what we learned.
Tallying the simple numbers of what was done, here are the stats for 2022.
Although interesting, this tally doesn't show what we learned. So I had the Clubbers work on a simple Z-string with the 4 essential tangles of the 101 Zentangle class (Crescent Moon, Hollibaugh, Printemps and Bales. all tangles from Zentangle) using variations based on what they learned during the year and what they enjoyed most.
Here's mine:
I used a Moonpie Crescent Moon, a bunched-up Hollibaugh from the Midway lesson, a Squarified Printemps from the Kensington Fan lesson and a transitioned Bales. Very fun!!!
Here's a close-up for you to inspect:
We also added Hollibaugh and Printemps in the same section instead of two, and worked Hollibaugh wrapped around the string.
Feel free to pin or share these pictures.
Now that the Zentangle MatchMaking series is over in the Art Club, we started a new series, focusing on Tangle Combos. This is the second session of the series, and since it's the beginning of the year, nothing more appropriate than using the classic 4 tangles used for a Back to Basics: Crescent Moon, Holibaugh, Printemps and Bales.
