Tagh and Wyfore Tangleation

I’m loving this spherical tangleation of Tagh so I repeated it here, this time surrounded by a tangleation of Wyfore. You can also see a Ribbon Pickpocket there (a tangleation of Tomas Padros’ Pickpocket), and Tipple everywhere.

Pokeroot Tagh

The Art Raffle app gave me a tricky combination of all round tangles (Pokeroot, Jetties and Gourdgeous), combined into a radial formation inspired by one of the To You Tangle prompts. I also used an Tagh in the center and Pickpocket ribbon in an octagonal frame.

Pouyang Columns

Here's my last contribution to the To You Tangle 2023 using Pouyang with my deepest thanks to all the contributors. This tangle reminds me strongly of a mix between Gourdgeous (Zentangle) and my own Tri-roda. I strung three in a row forming a pouyang column.

Wyfore Medallion Shading Class

Today Art Clubbers and I completed Part 2 of the Wyfore Medallion with lots and lots of 3D shading. I just love it when the picture starts popping forward in 3D!

Wyfore Medallion Class

Palmette

A Palmette is a palm-looking ornament widely used in Roman and Greek architectural ornamentation. Inspired by that mirrored design, I created a ZIA using Sanibelle (Tricia Faraone), Mooka, Wyfore/Drawings, Cyme and Icanthis.

Puppy Hugs Landscape

Another landscape came out of my pen! I can’t seem to get away from them. I meant to use Huggins (for the To You Tangle event) but my pen botched it and created Puppy Hugs instead. This is Martha’s tangleation of Huggins, introduced in 2022.

Wyfore Medallion

Another piece using Wyfore hybrid, this time a designed Zentangle-Inspired medallion. This one was very planned, I tend to alternate between “designed” and “intuitive” classic Zentangle.

Wrap and Bridge Video Class

This video recorded class is available at my online shop here. This black and white project class explores the Wrap and Bridge style, something of my own invention where you wrap a couple of string sections forming cones and cylinders.

Organic Sinkholes Class

Yesterday Art Clubbers and I had a fun class on Sinkholes, combining Wartz (Genevieve Crabe) and Prestwood (Margaret Bremner) to form an organic and fun mass to shade.

Wyfore Hybrid Monotangle

These days I'm pretty obsessed with Wyfore, creating all kinds of tangleations and hybrid versions. Here I used also gray pens (dark and light gray) to form the background and the stripes.

Turtle-inspired Bucky Mandala

During my recent vacation I was inspired by turtles to use the tangle Bucky. This is a tangle I haven't used very much at all, and it was fun to play with the fragment, which is quite beautiful.
