W2 in color and with fish
I’ve been playing a LOT with W2 (Zentangle) and I’m especially enjoying creating Celtic-looking knots with it. Here is two pieces that include that tangle.
The first one is almost a monotangle (a few decorative printemps around the border). I created it over white paper using watercolor pencils for the colorful part. with gold pen embellishment. Looks like a magic carpet!!!
The second piece was created about 10 days ago with some of my entangled fish. I LOVE the way the large knot looks so tightly woven.
Here’s a mini step-out of this piece:

Feel free to pin or share these images if you like.
This is a super embellished version of Plezo. I also included an updated step-out of the tangle.
Today Art Clubbers and I started a new series of classes exploring Woven Tangles: Nubia, Malacca and Plezo.
I just love Woven tangles, they look so intricate and layered. Here are three monotangles including Malacca and Nubia.
Still playing with W2 a-la-Celtic Knot, one in color that looks like a magic carpet, and another one with two very entangled fish.
Still playing with W2 a-la-Celtic Knot, this one combined with Malaca, African Artist, Purk and more.
Still playing with W2, now adding an organic Ixorus and some scattered Munchin. Love the organic look!
Playing with the tangle W2 (Warp and Weft) is super fun, forms such a rich woven surface!
Last Friday Art Clubbers and I finished the Woven Tangles series creating a colorful version of Nubia.
