Gourdgeous and friends
This week Art Clubbers and I are going to explore how to tangle and shade over black tiles, and I’m playing with some interesting options for the class. In this one, I used the tangles Gourdgeous, Printemps and Courant and Munchin (all by Zentangle). And I also added some ribbons for good measure, because I’m completely in love with these random ribbons.

Tangling and shading over black paper is not easy, it requires the artist to really think of the light and how it will hit the paper in a completely different way than shading over white. Here is a close-up for you to inspect:
