Vines and Berries Shading Class
Yesterday Art Clubbers and I had completed the Vines and Berries project, we worked on dramatic shading. Clubbers had completed their line-art in Part 1 Class, exploring how to create this botanical inspired piece using Bronx Cheer, Mooka, Icanthis (all three Zentangle) and also Vynes (Eni Oken).
During the first half hour of the class we worked on a shading exercise, learning how to control the ability of shading from pure black to white.
After the warm-up, we proceeded to add some pre-shading using markers to understand and discover the areas that needed shading.
We then tackled the second part of the shading, increasing the dimensional look of the piece.
Some 60 plus Clubbers participated, and they produced incredible results over the two hours we spent exclusively dedicated to shading. This class will eventually become a stand alone video class that can be purchased individually.

Last Friday Art Clubbers and I had a the second part of the Vines and Berries project where we covered detailed and ultra-dimensional shading.
