More Vines and Berries
Here’s another picture using Vines and Berries (the topic of my next class). I’m having an absolute blast of a time hatching and creating all those little tiny lines — so much Zen flow and relaxation!
Here’s a work in progress of the line-art before and after shading:
I’m a complete disaster when it comes to symmetrical designs, so I have to confess that I used some pencil guidelines to help me. And even after that, I couldn’t resist adding some “imperfect symmery”, moving the berries into different positions on each side.
Here’s a close-up after the shading:
The piece measures only 4x4 inches. The tangle patterns used were Mooka (with depth), Icanthis, Bronx Cheer (all three by Zentangle) and Vynes (my own). Here’s the step-out for Vynes:
