Twisted Ropes Video Lesson is back again
Just a few more older lessons to pass to Teachable. It's taken me over a year! This one is the Twisted Ropes lesson, an intermediate video lasting 48 minutes, containing instructions on how to create these fantastically tangled crazy ropes.
Like all of my lessons, we start very gradually, understanding the concept of the twisted rope, and practicing with simpler exercises.
Next we move on to creating loops with the twisted ropes and also detailed instruction on how to shade these.
After that, we learn how to create ropes with more than one loop, in preparation for the final project.
The final project is made over a Zentangle tile and you can see how it has a bunch of loops overlapping each other.
To contrast with the rope, we'll use a different color inking pen to create a tangled background.
And of course the lesson includes how to shade and tint the background.

Last Thursday Art Clubbers and I completed Part 2 of this intricate black and white Zendala, finishing the line-art with some advanced “drawing behind” and super fun 3D shading.
