Twisted Zendala Part 2 Class
Last Thursday Art Clubbers and I completed the Twisted Zendala (originally inspired by a Georgian Revival Architecture church in Charlottetown). In Part 1 we worked on part of the line-art.
In part 2, we worked on some complex drawing behind, including Bailarine (my own tangle) under and behind some of the existing motifs.
We also worked on the background elements:
And worked on the super fun 3D shading that makes this Zendala pop:
This is what the Clubbers did!

One of my favorite things to do while traveling is to extract urban details, and then use those details in a Zentangle Inspired piece. This one is from details extracted from the local church in Charlottetown, Canada during my recent trip.
Ok, this is the last of the rusty fish: I took some bits and pieces and made it into a Zendala. Super fun!!!
I wrapped a triquetra (a three pointed knot) with Umble (aka Zentwining). Such a fun video class is coming next to the Art Clubbers.
Last Wednesday I took a super fun class with Nancy Domnauer on Dressing up Ixorus. Had such fun with this Zendala!
This is Jenice Kee's Jeweled Garden, part of Zentangle Beyond Language event. Halfway through, silly me decided to add a hatched ribbon, leaving no room for the other tangles! I like the result anyway, THANK YOU Jenice for a fantastic project.
I taught this Flower Zendala for the third time last Tuesday to my private group. I think this is the last one for a while! Love the color combo with pink and black.
On Thursday I taught the Blue Flower Zendala class for the second time to my Art Clubbers. I also included references on how to create the Renaissance brown version for those who wanted it. This class is now available at my Video shop.
A quick recap of my recent trip to Pennsylvania and some of the pieces I created while attending TangleU 2022 conference.
If you are still considering if you should attend TangleU this year, here’s a sneak peek at the project I'll be teaching at that conference.
Yesterday Art Clubbers and I had Part 1 of this intricate black and white Zendala inspired by georgian revival architecture, using a complex overlapping string.
