Tangled Scrollwork lesson preview
I'm SOOO excited about this lesson, it was such a long development, but totally worth it. In just a few days I'm going to release this lesson (first for Art Club, of course) on how to create these tangled scroll designs using this little method that I developed.
Here is a little sneak peek into the lesson:
Here is the final project that we'll develop, from beginning to end. The lesson is going to be classified as ADVANCED, because there is so much overlap, drawing behind and also drawing round curves. As usual, I'll cover everything from the very basics, from the start.
Here are some screengrabs of the lesson:
Aside from this unique method that I developed on creating tangled versions of traditional scroll designs, I'm also pretty excited about this secondary technique that I'm showing in the lesson on how to add line-hatching and line shading, which can really create so much intricacy.
Most of the overall shading and 3D depth is done with gray markers, but I also show how you can create a watercolor background with some interesting effects.
Here's a super close-up of the final project:
Last Friday Art Clubbers and I had a the second part of the Vines and Berries project where we covered detailed and ultra-dimensional shading.
