Student Evaluation and Caring Critique Online Session
When one of my Art Clubbers approached me asking for commentary on her work and direction on where to go, I thought it would be an excellent chance to have an online session. So I invite 6 students to submit a sample of their body of work, and analyzed it to see where their strengths lie and where could they work more. Many thanks to Jenna Black, Karen Crittenden, Norma Petersen, Sandra Mitchell, Terri Delaune and especially to Sallie Gurth who originally requested the feedback. All these students graciously gave their consent for me to explore and display their works.
Each student submitted a sample of their works, about 10 pieces each. It was interesting to see how different and unique their works were from each other! It was also interesting to see how their strengths were completely different from others.
Some of the works were clearly based on previous lessons, but still contained valuable information and unique traits of each artist.
I also demonstrated how depth could be improved over an existing student project, by editing the picture in Procreate on my iPad.
Overall it was a GREAT session. I still prefer the classes where we draw together, but I can't deny that this session was PACKED with valuable information on how to balance your Zentangle art between technique and other more abstract concepts such as creativity and composition, very very valuable info for someone looking to grow in their art.
These live online sessions are available entirely FREE for all members of Art Club and is EXCLUSIVE to Art Club members, but you can read more information about it here:
