Single Pen Hatching Part 4
Yesterday members of my Art Club and I finished the fourth and last part of our Single Pen Hatching series. We finished the tile started during Part 3, adding two more tangles and treating the background.
We had started the tile using the Art Raffle app to select the tangles: we got Ennies and Toodles (both deconstructed by Zentangle).
After a few tries, we got the tangle Kensington (deconstructed by Anoeska Waardenburg) which is a pretty rose shape.
After evaluating the shading and practicing a bit, we added a single Kensington rose to the tile. This tangle is fun because it can be used as a Filler (as seen above) or as a Blossom (as seen below).
In order to connect and integrate the large Blossom to the rest of the project, we added some fun Hollibaugh (Zentangle), our fourth and last tangle.
And finally we added more hatching and a frame to the background to complete the entire project. Super fun!
I love how each person made it slightly different, in true Zentangle fashion and they all look amazingly detailed with all that hatching. What a great class! We had about 60 participants.
We are now DONE with this series and next week we'll start something different.
Feel free to pin or share these pictures if you like.
I had an incredibly fun time celebrating the Unity Tile anniversary with Julie Allison and Romi Marks.
