Unity in Color and BW
Last Friday I had the honor to participate in a Unity Anniversary class run by Julie Allison and Romi Borax Marks. These two lovely ladies celebrated the Anniversary of the Unity Tile, a project where you find inspirational words to tangle around and celebrate community amongst tanglers.
Here is the piece I created during class, using colored pencils. Each teacher guided us gently and lovingly through one half of the Ying/Yang inspired piece.
After class, I couldn't help myself and started a new Unity project, this time entirely in black and white. It took me an astounding 5 hours to complete this one!!!! Here's the work in progress.
And here is a close-up for you to inspect. Overall, I enjoyed myself immensely in this second version. There are a couple of things I regret and if I had done it again, would make them differently, but I’m not going to tell you, maybe you'll figure it out on your own :-)
And here are both side by side for you to compare.
Feel free to pin or share these pictures if you like.
An Art Raffle session a few days ago gave me a Triradial string that I enjoyed very much adding Squid, Ennies, and also Zello. Very light and airy!
