Palazzo Tangles lesson is back again!
As promised, I'm releasing a whole bunch of slightly older lessons in the next few days. This one is the Palazzo Tangles, an Art Virtual Tour where we extracted tangles from a gorgeous Italian Palazzo to create a Zendala design.
This recorded video which has over 4 hours of instruction starts with a virtual tour to Italy and creating a sampler of patterns over tan tiles using Renaissance Zentangle techniques and colored pencils.
On the second part we start to prepare for the Zendala design, learn how to design a Zendala template with overlap, while using the Markus Operandus.
Part 3 and 4 focus on developing the actual Zendala over tan paper, from construction of the template to tangling and ending on coloring and shading.
You can see how many different designs can be produced, no two Zendalas are the same!
Here's yet another design, you can see how they are related.
An incredibly fun class packed with information! The recorded material is over 4 hours and the course comes with tons of bonus PDFs for you to download and print. Available now at my SHOP.
Yesterday Art Clubbers and I had Part 1 of this intricate black and white Zendala inspired by georgian revival architecture, using a complex overlapping string.
