Dewd and friends
Love playing with classic Zentangle in black and white. Probably my favorite of ALL different techniques. This one includes the tangles Dewd, W2, Ravel, Hibred and Indyrella (all Zentangle original patterns).
Here’s a before and after shading (used my trusty F pencil which is capable of creating super darks).
And here’s a close-up for you to inspect. Love those little dashed lines with sparkles and the knotted W2.

The first live session of the year: Art Clubbers had a special "back to basics”, using tangleations of what we learned in 2022 at Art Club. I'm always amazed at the things that can be done with the simple Z string and the four essential 101 tangles.
Last week I taught a Zentangle basic in Portuguese. Even though I have done the basic ZT class so many times, it never ceases to amaze me how each tile is so unique.
Last Thursday Art Clubbers and I had the last phase of my Advanced Tangle Transitions class. Super fun strategy on how to work the boundaries of a string, using bridge and transitional elements.
The last phase of my Advanced Tangle Transitions class with the Art Clubbers, and I find this stage a little tricky. To ease it off a little, I selected a Zentangle 101 tile, and that's probably what we'll do in class.
During the last class of the year, Art Clubbers and I had a “Back to Basics” class and a short recap of all the projects we did in 2021.
Another black and white tile for my daily meditation, this time with a ton of tangles pulled from the Art Raffle.
Two tiles I created during a resting week while I recovered from a nasty non-covid bug.
Every once in a while I love to go back and teach the basic Zentangle class in Portuguese to friends and family.
Just finished a wonderfully relaxing class using the Art Raffle in Guided mode.
Another "Back to Basics” tile with a Z-string, Hollibaugh, Crescent Moon, Printemps and Bales. This one reminds me of a day I spent on the beach with a friend!
