Crazy Auraknot over Blue
Art Clubbers and I are still playing with Crazy Gold Auraknots. I made this one a little different: I first painted the background — hotpressed Fabriano watercolor paper — with dark blue metallic watercolor. Here's the before and after:
I think I went a little overboard with the Auraknot, a little “too” crazy. I wish I had left some negative space to play with the background. But oh well! That's the beauty of Zentangle, you never know what you're going to get.
I used the Pentouch gold pen almost exclusively. After fighting with it a bit because it got clogged, I had the brilliant idea of getting some replacement nibs and the pen is working again beautifully.
