Brush Pen Hurricane

Art Clubbers and I continue to explore brush pens and fude nib pens with the Tangling with Brush Pens. This coming Friday we will play with this powerful design using a Pinwheel string, but it feels more like a hurricane. Using a technique that is hard to control, we'll answer the question: if we can't control the pen, WHAT CAN we control?

And here is a close-up of the final picture, which includes tangles Jetties, Fescu and Drawings (Zentangle) and Joki (Kim Aarts). Done over Phi tan tile using brush pens and colored pencils.

I'm enjoying this series so much because it is giving me “permission” to work in a raw, dramatic style.
