Brush Pens, Marasu, Eofer and Bilt

Still experimenting with Fude Nib pens and also brush pens. For this last picture I used three different brush pens plus a regular paintbrush.

Here you can see the pens. I used a Duke Fude Nibe pen like I did in my previous blog post, also a Marvy Le Plume #6 Brown and a Crayola Mahogany Brush pen. Then blended with a paintbrush using water.

I love the way the results are so painterly! You can see the how the paint bleeds and goes into weird directions when manipulated with plain water. Here's a before and after:

The tangles used where Eofer (Iris Heidt), Bilt (Lisa Skeen), Pokeroot, Printemps and Marasu (all three Zentangle). I used some colored pencils for the shading over a tan Phi tile and also a new found interesting pencil, Derwent Graphitint in Autumn Brown (works very much like a watercolor pencil but has a rougher feel).
