Organicized Eofer and Finery
I'm playing with the concept of “Organicize”, that is, a term I invented to describe adding elements of growth and decay to tangles to simulate the effect the organic world can have over things.
I used the Art Raffle app and these are the cards I pulled out:
I pulled out a Spiral String and Eofer (Iris Heidt). This was easy enough since Eofer looks like a plant anyway. The challenge was creating the organicized effect over Finery, the second tangle (tangle deconstructed by Zentangle).
I also pulled out Tassels (Eni Oken), Swerve (Jody Genovese) and Jesterstick (Bunny Wright). Once I got into the groove of the tile, everything seemed to fall into place. The last card was Drawings (Zentangle) and I knew that was going to be a stretch, but I added a tiny bit of it on the right upper side.
Here is a close-up of the tile for you to inspect:

The beautifully poetic class Duotone Tangling is now available in video format for individual purchase. This video class includes how to use a “landscape string” and how to create contrast using two inking pens of different colors. It also shows how to use grafting and how to organicize tangles to make them resemble plants.
