3D Printemps Online Class
This morning Clubbers and I had a REALLY fun lesson, we explored how to create ultra dimensional Printemps (Zentangle) that look like seashells.
We started the session by exploring and understanding really well how foreshortening works on a round, conical shape such as a seashell.
Next, we started to work on our project, adding some super large Printemps spirals, made in such a way that creates the illusion of perspective and depth.
Our objective was to convert the spirals into super dimensional and ornate seashells.
We explored shading and shadow concepts and how to divide the seashells into parts to add the embellishment.
I also showed Clubbers how to create a three-dimensional version of the tangle Toodles (Zentangle), to complement the ornate seashells.
The class lasted 3 hours! And we had a record attendance of over 70 people, all working together and interactive. Look at all those smiling faces!
As usual, all my online live classes are available for all Art Clubbers, and after each session they get recordings of the classes and bonus PDFs. Learn more here

Today I participated in another fun class with Angie Gittles celebrating the 4th of July US independence day. She used Phicops, Ixorus, Printemps and Pokeroot, and colored it with very beautiful red and blue markers. I went rogue and couldn’t resist going into sepia/brown again. Such a fun class, thank you Angie!
