Toodles and Knots
I'm loving Toodles, especially super frilly with echolines. This one partnered with freeform knots, the topic of my latest video. In super dramatic shading, I love black and white.
It seems like all my latest black and white pictures are turning out super dramatic, I love the depth of the darker shadows.
I especially like this picture above showing the halfway shaded knot, where you can see one side shaded and the other just started. Cool! I used a two gray copics to explore and create basic shading (N0 and N2). After that, I worked the tiny corners with a regular pencil and then with a black colored pencil. And finally, I blended the black pencil with a marker blender.

If real knotted, woven tangles give you a headache, then you can always try some “faux” knotwork. This fun, intermediate video class is now back and available to the public.
