Malacca on Star
Interesting to see how much we change our drawings over the period of one year. This picture was completed mostly in 2021, and today it caught my eye and I finished it with a tiny bit more line-art and shading.
It was based on an Art Raffle, here's the original selection.
Here's a before and after shading:
I find it SOOO different than my current work. This is less focused, more chaotic, and although you can see the underlying star string, it feels very hectic to me. That's why I always recommend keeping your work in chronological order, you'll be able to see your own evolution. Or maybe it's just a reflection of what was going on with me at that time, my world feeling a little chaotic.
Here is a close-up for you to inspect.
Feel free to pin or share these pictures!
A few weeks ago one my friends suggested a “skyline” string over a mass of water. I used mooka3d, Alfie (Angie Gittles), Nik (Bunny Wright) and Dillo-tant (Lisa Goldman). I wonder if the buildings are emerging or submerging? :-)
