Gothic Tracery

I'm a huge fan of architectural ornament and take inspiration from it every chance I get. The term “Tracery”, according to Wikipedia, is an architectural device by which windows (or screens, panels, and vaults) are divided into sections of various proportions by stone bars or ribs of moulding.

It was especially found in Gothic architecture and the term probably appeared at that time. For my next black and white class for Art Club, I'm taking a bit of inspiration from that, and applying it over the tangle Well (Zentangle). I spent many happy Zen flow hours shading and tangling these babies!
