Classic Zentangle with Art Raffle 002

Today Art Clubbers and I had the second “Classic Black and White Zentangle” session. This is a new thing we're doing: a classic session using the Art Raffle app in between EACH series of the club. This will allow Clubbers time to breathe, time to catch up on their classes and to experience the magic of Classic Zentangle.

The app selected the following cards for us:

This was a freeform game with no string, so we used Jaysix as inspiration for our string. We used the tangles Nehphi (Neha Agrawal), and Classe (Genevieve Crabe) with a change in direction, a curve along the J shape.

Halfway through the tile I decided that I did not enjoy what was happening so I added some black gems, also known as Bronx Cheer (Zentangle):

We also added Dewd (Zentangle) and a Bejeweled Hurry (a tangleation of Hurry by Eni Oken).

The Nehphi and Classe gave us some good opportunities for interesting shading.
