Wow, Drawings, what a delicious tangle to play with! Last week our Shading Zentangle® Facebook group used this new tangle by Zentangle Inc as our focus pattern, but I was so busy with the holidays, all I could do was drool over the beautiful artwork.

When I finally managed to sit down and play with it, I saw what the fuss was all about. WHAT A FUN TANGLE! A little high focus, it's true, but it creates almost automatic incredible overlap and rich imagery.

Here is the line-art:

Even the line-art without shading is cool. Since it was such a high focus tangle, I combined it with some comfort tangles: Crescent Moon, Baton (Carole Ohl), a modified version of Flukes (the scaly things) and Florz. Obviously I had to add a little bit of echo lines. Does anybody see a peacock there?

I also tried -- per suggestion of someone on my Facebook group, a new blending tool called Doodlestix. Didn't use it much, but I did enjoy it. The silicone tip is very soft and not as raspy as a blending stump or tortillion. You can find it here:
