Twing Infographic
Another Tangle Infographic, this one exploring the tangle Twing (Zentangle). I had never really played with this tangle this much and it was fun to see all the potential results, such as the one that looks like a dragon wing, super fun. Here are the before and after complete shading:
I developed the idea of these Tangle Infographics as a way to explore tangles more in depth, while creating a fun, informational page. I think I still prefer the smaller sizes in 4x6 inch recipe formats, but these square ones are pretty impressive. Tangle Infographics is the topic of my next class. Here's a super close-up for you to inspect:

This week I tried something I’ve wanted to try for a long while: using one of my old pictures as a string. I printed a previous picture very lightly over thick watercolor paper and proceeded to tangle over it, using my new favorite shading technique with brown inks. The picture took several days to finish and I will confess that it was a little too large for my taste (tangled area measures 4.5x7 inches). That’s a LOT of tiny tangling! But I’m happy with the result.
