Trio family

This week's focus tangle at the Facebook Shading Zentangle® is Trio, a tangle by Hanny Waldburger (stepout here). When I tested the tangle in my recipe cards I enjoyed it so I figured I would create a really big one -- why stop at three, right? 

Here's a brief sequence:

When I started to shade it, I wasn't sure if I wanted to use markers, hatching or pencil. So I used all three!

In the end, I used more of the 2B pencil creating this really rough and textured shading. 

I'm pleased with it, and it was an enjoyable process, but not as extraordinarily fun as I anticipated. I guess I like tiny detail better.
