Tagh Tile

The focus tangle of the week at the Shading Zentangle Facebook group is Tagh, a very minimalist scalloped tangle. This gives me the chance to play with it. I thought -- how about using Tagh over a Crescent Moon-ish string?

Here is the line-art:

The other tangle there is a sort of Shattuck ribbon. Someone in my FB group said (thanks Karen!) it looked like Ragz by Christina Vandervlist (stepout here).

Another person emailed me (thanks Sharyn!) and said it looks like Baton by Carole Ohl (stepout here).

I think it's more like Baton -- that's how I constructed it, gradually with lines that built over each other.

What do you think? If you know one that looks more like this pattern, let me know!

Here is the line-art after applying some hatching:

I'm not sure of the name of the other tangle, the one that looks like a woven braid. Thanks to some suggestions, I think it's Baton, by Carole Ohl. If you know the correct name of the tangle, let me know.

I experimented a little with the lighting on the backgrounds, just for fun:

Do you like any of these, or do you prefer the simple one?
