Orange and Purple Distress
I'm on a roll with distress inks and MI2 (Mimi Lempart) and Jay-six (my own). Just love it!
Here is the distressed background. I was a little concerned about the dark purple areas, but I think they worked well to add some quotes and a strange cocoon made with Baton (Carole Ohl). Don't ask me where these things come from.
The tile measures 4x4 inches, and was created using a number of different pens and media.
As for the quote, here's the story behind it:
A friend is not only the one who is there during the good times, but is also there to give the advice that is the hardest to say (and to hear). The difficulty lies in choosing the right words to say things, so that the messenger doesn't get shot on the face for saying it.
My new strategy is that I will try to only use words any sensible person could use in public. This way, there is a stronger chance of being tactful and getting the message across right!
