Nik, Mooka and many other things
Sooo many things happening here. First of all, I was featured as Guest Artist in the Doodlewash blog — run by the amazing force Charlie O’Shields. If you want to read the interview, just click here (or on the image below).
Next, only a few days later, one of my idols in Zentangle — Sandra Strait — posted a review on the Scrollwork Lesson, also at Doodlewash. I'm so excited about it, because every time Sandra reviews a product she creates the most amazing pictures. This was no different, such incredible art! You can read Sandra's review here.
Ok, now finally to the art of the day. I've been corresponding with Bunny Wright who deconstructed the gorgeous tangle Nik and I got an itch to try it out, I thought I would enjoy it. Sure enough, I did, thank you Bunny! And since it's the first day of Inktober 2018, I thought I'd combine it with Mooka3D.
I REALLY enjoyed this tangle, especially the shading, I went a little crazy with the dark areas. Love the contrast! Here are a couple of work-in-progress:
And here is a close-up of the final picture after shading:
Thank you Bunny for the suggestion, and thank you Sandra for the review and for referring me to Doodlewash, and THANK YOU Charlie for having me as a Guest Artist. Whew! That's a lot of thanks. :-)
