This lovely swirly tangle is called Narwal, named and deconstructed by Sam Taylor. I just loved the way it looks so dimensional, even when you just have the line art.
This is the line art for the shaded picture above. I usually draw the line art using Micron Sakura pens over Bristol smooth paper. The original measures about 7 inches square.
