More Distressed Adalfa

I cannot get enough of these beautiful distressed tiles! Last week's Shading Zentangle® Facebook group challenge was to tangle over tiles using distress inks, and these are just so fun to work on.

This tile started with a rather simple distress. You could probably create this simple effect using watercolors!

Next, the line art, following this abstract string formed by the inks:

And finally, the coloring and shading, using gray markers, colored pencils and graphite pencil.

Man, I love this!
The tangles used were: Adalfa (Bunny Wright), Binda (deconstructed by Claire Crook here), and some good old hollibaugh with a bit of decoration.

Oh, and don't forget: thanks to the overwhelming success of the Overlapping Zentangle® ebook, I decided to create a little gift for you this week: a mini 13-page ebook on how you too can prepare these beautiful distressed tiles. Get it here: Preparing Distressed Tiles

Enjoy!
