This is a fantasy typography project: I started with some hand-sketched line art. The drawing was shaded and colored digitally.

Here you can see the original line art, created using fineliner inking pen:

The process is VERY similar to using traditional coloring techniques. The art is shaded and colored to make it look dimensional. This is work in progress of one of the letters:
