The end opens the start

Celebrating the year that is gone and the one that is starting now. In retrospect, what happened in 2016 for me? Many things came to an end, and that opened doors for new beginnings. I closed for good my site Jewelrylessons.com, and moved away from West Los Angeles after living there for over 20 years.

What struck me is that often times we can't move on to new things if we feel unable to end the past. 

Makes me think of that line in the Harry Potter's series, the snitch's engraving says "I open at the close". 

I used Drawings tangle to start this tile, testing different techniques over a gray 4x4 tile:

I added Marasu to the tile, because I feel that spirals always represent Endings and Beginnings well:
