Distressed Tri-bee
I'm having so much fun with distressed tiles! If the ebook on distress tangling really comes to fruition, this one will probably go into it.
Here is the original distressed tile with a basic outline of Tri-bee (deconstructed by Beate Winkler here) -- can you see the gold ink there!?
Here's the final tile with two large Tri-bee flowers and some Ruutz (Eni Oken).
The tile measures 4x4 and was entirely distressed first with distress inks, then tangled and colored with pens only (no colored pencils).
Here's a picture of it in the sun, with the gold sparkling in all its gilded glory :-)
Here are a few other tiles, ready to be tangled. Although you can't see very well, some of them have gold ink on them, making them really shiny!
