Antique Colorizing
After playing with Jo Flaherty's dreamy watercolor techniques -- so many layers of color! -- it's time to go back to making tiny lines. That's what gets me in the Zen flow!
I continued to play with distress markers, these are very fun.
I just LOVE the contrast between bold and thin lines in the line-art! The tangles used were: Crest (Suzanne Davis), Drupe (Zentangle), Arc Flower (JJ LaBarbera) and Echo Lines (Eni Oken).
I used only a splash of color -- "colorizing" it instead of really painting with several layers. I feel that it gives the piece an antique look:
I used a very limited palette, only blue/green, green and wild honey.
Here's a close-up of the piece. I LOVE tiny lines!!!!
I REALLY enjoyed making this one, so much fun!
