Distressed Yful

All April long we are playing with distressed tiles at my Facebook group Shading Zentangle®. 

This one started with this beautiful blue green tile with flecks of gold. I was so hesitant about tangling this one, since I really liked the way you it looks all by itself. 

I decided to add a row of Yful Power tangle, which is the theme of our weekly focus tangle. You can find the stepout deconstructed by Shoshia here.

This part is scary!!!!! It feels like I'm ruining the tile. Gotta have trust in the process.

After colorizing and shading, what a difference!!!! I wanted to pass a feeling that the weave was just coming off the distress, embedded into it. 

I didn't have the courage to add anything else, since the tile has so many beautiful features. I love it!
