Entangled Fish Lesson
Last Friday I held the first of the Entangled Animals class with my Art Clubbers. We explored this interesting project where Zentangle meets fish. The idea is not to make something that looks like a landscape, but yet that looks like random, unexpected drawing, in the same lines of the intuitiveness of Zentangle.
We covered every aspect of how to create the fish over a tile, using principles similar and inspired in Zentangle, such as starting with a string.
We worked on a project from beginning to end, including the tangles Nipa, Mooka, Knightsbridge, Flukes (all Zentangle) and Crest (Suzanne Davis).
What I really loved about this project was that each and every one turned out completely different but all similar. This is very much what happens in traditional Zentangle art, where each person embeds their style into the piece. WHAT A SUPER fun session!!!!
Just finished the second part of the Entangled Animals series which included birds and reptiles. Such a fun and intense class.
