Waybop
Waybop is the name of one of the newest tangles released last week by Zentangle, Inc, during ZenAgain. Although I was not able to attend the seminar, I did get the step-out via Zentangle's special newsletter for CZTs.
Here is my first test with Waybop:
Due to the circular nature of the tangle, it brings up the eternal question typically associated with zendalas: how does one shade this thing? Do you shade all the segments identically, disregarding a fixed light source? I chose to shade as a normally do, considering the light source, as you can see by the shadows falling off the tips of zinger.
Here is the tile I made with Waybop and other tangles: Echoism, Dansk, Zinger, Caviar and Crescent Moon.
The string was such that waybop turned out a little bit elongated, not circular, so the issue of shading in a circle was not as strong -- I just shaded as I normally do.
