Blue Revolutions
I found time to make another duo color tile with Gems in a super busy week schedule. I wasn't too thrilled at how long it took to complete -- 3 days -- because I had to work in spurts due to my busy schedule, and it was not very relaxing.
The one thing I DO ***Love*** about this is my newest found love, the Revolution tangle (Sandra Chatelain). I created three large triangular ones with a Gem in the center and I would have filled the entire page if I didn't have this little voice in my head saying "try others, try others". So I decided to add Y-Flip in the center, which turned out to be a complete mess of stems and alien forms. Should have stuck with the Revolution.
To complete the background, I added my newfound love Heartrope in gray -- super good filler.
Copic Markers, Copic Fineliners, Prismacolor Pencils. And OH, OH, OH, my newest favorite tool for underglazing pencils: The Prismacolor Colorless Blender PEN. You already knew that I love the Colorless Blender Pencil, but recently decided to try the Colorless Blender Pen at the suggestion of a FB friend (thanks, Linda Wolff!!!!). It's made for blending markers, but it also blends colored pencils really easily!
I used it to blend the Gems first layer of color.
One word of caution: use it very sparingly, lightly. It does not produce a super smooth surface, just blends the colors together and covers the white paper grain. You MUST continue to add layers to get a smooth colored surface!
And finally, here is the line-art for you to see:
