Purple Amethyst Brooch or Pendant

A real stunner, this royal beauty was built with gemstone quality faceted amethyst beads, wrapped with more than 15 feet of hair-thin gold-filled wire and adorned with 22 karate vermeil (silver overlaid with gold) Balinese beads.

The brooch is entirely constructed in gold filled wire and vermeil with the with exception of the pin back, which is base metal (for better support of a brooch of this kind). Absolutely no solder or glue were used.

The center cluster is made with round beads: an unknown green stone called Vansuanite and 3mm garnets.

I also created later a Pendant version that you can see here as well.

Design: The design of a 5 petal flower had been sitting for a very long time in my journal!  It turned out *very much* like the original design!  Measures 1 3/4" (4 cm) in diameter.
