Ellish

Ellish is a tangle I learned at Seminar 23: I just love the way it grows and grows into some kind of an organic mass, floating on the tile. It's the perfect tangle when you don't feel like using any string at all, just because you can.  I will confess, this is a HIGH FOCUS tangle and requires a bit more focus and concentration. Zentangle HQ has already released the stepout for teachers, and I'm sure they will release them soon enough.

I'm testing out an F-grade pencil -- for those of you who don't know, the F-grade pencil is located somewhere in between an HB and an H in the graphite scale. Read more here.

My favorite pencil these days is the Staedtler-Mars Lumograph, the graphite has very high quality and the pencils sharpen to a beautiful fine point.

F-grade is a bit grainier than the 2H, but I'm enjoying it very much, it provides some darker shadows:
