Akoya Watercolor and Ruutz Tangle
The Watercolor challenge is long gone (ended last week), but I'm still in love with these colorful backgrounds. Here is the background for the one I finished today:
This week's challenge is Akoya (step-out here), so why not combine both, with a few other tangles? Here is the line-art:
I thought I would like to make Akoya better. In the end, the excessive pearls kind of bothered me, so I left the inside swirl empty.
I used a sepia ink to make the line-art, since the results seems to blend a bit better after colorized with colored pencils.
Here is the final picture:
I used an Akoya semi-circle, Nebel (deconstructed by Sandy S. Bartholomew) in the center with tiny gems.
Sepia ink over Bristol Vellum paper, colored pencils, white gel pen.
I asked if anybody knew the name of this tangle in yellow (circled below)?
Since no one has been able to identify by name the pattern I created in yellow above, I named it and deconstructed it for you here. If you know of a name for this pattern, then let me know.
